Who we are

This website operates as a lead-matching service. We do not carry out structural or repair work ourselves. When you submit an enquiry through this site, we pass your details to one or more vetted, qualified specialist companies who cover your area and who can quote for or carry out the requested work.

The data we collect

When you complete an enquiry form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property you are asking about (including postcode), the service you are interested in, and any message you choose to include. We also receive technical information from your browser, including IP address, device type, the pages you have looked at on this site, and the site that referred you to us.

If you contact us by other means, such as a follow-up email, we keep the content of that correspondence for as long as we need to handle the enquiry.

Why we are allowed to use it

Under UK GDPR Article 6 we rely on two lawful bases. The first is your consent, given when you submit the enquiry form having read the on-form notice. The second is legitimate interests, specifically our interest in operating a lead-matching service that connects you with relevant trades. We balance that interest against your right to privacy and limit data sharing to the specialist companies that can actually help with your enquiry.

How we use the data

Your enquiry is matched to one or two qualified specialist companies covering the postcode you provided. We use your contact details to confirm we have received the enquiry and to follow up on quality. We use technical data to keep the site secure, prevent spam and improve how the forms work. We do not use your data for marketing unless you separately opt in.

Who we share it with

We share enquiry details with the specialist companies that cover your postcode. From the point that company receives your details, they become an independent data controller and will contact you directly. We share data with our hosting provider, email provider and the company that runs our enquiry form. We may share data with analytics providers in anonymised form to understand how visitors use the site.

International transfers

Some of our processors operate servers outside the UK and EEA. Where this happens we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision to make sure your data has the same protection it would have inside the UK.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for 24 months after the date of the enquiry, which gives time for follow-up support and complaint handling. Technical and analytics data is retained for 14 months in line with industry norms.

Your rights

You have the right under UK GDPR to ask for a copy of the data we hold, to ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent for us to share your details at any time by emailing the contact address on the site or by using the contact form. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out before the withdrawal took effect.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses a small number of cookies for essential function and for anonymous analytics. We do not run advertising cookies. If we add cookie-based conversion pixels in future we will update this notice and ask for consent before they fire.

Children

This service is for property owners and is not aimed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, restrict who in the team can access enquiry records and store data with processors who have ISO 27001 or equivalent certification.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
